May 30, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Friday's trading session at 119,691.09, showing an increase of 719.69 points or 0.60%.

The index traded in a range of 1,142.05 points showing an intraday high of 119,913.88 (+942.48) and a low of 118,771.83 (-199.57) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 211.92 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 56 closed up, 42 closed down, 1 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.

Top gainers during the day were PKGP (+10.00%), KTML (+7.19%), BNWM (+6.17%), APL (+6.07%), and MEBL (+4.40%).

On the other hand, top losers were TPLRF1 (-7.63%), YOUW (-3.75%), KEL (-3.62%), PIBTL (-3.55%), and PTC (-3.16%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were FFC (+229.27pts), MEBL (+191.74pts), HUBC (+71.57pts), PKGP (+64.05pts), and ENGROH (+58.31pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were TPLRF1 (-39.48pts), PPL (-38.92pts), POL (-30.46pts), MTL (-20.59pts), and KEL (-18.47pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Fertilizer (+264.82pts), Commercial Banks (+260.49pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+122.35pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+59.60pts), and Cement (+52.82pts).

While the index was let down by Technology & Communication (-28.55pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-28.11pts), Real Estate Investment Trust (-27.40pts), Automobile Assembler (-16.68pts), and Food & Personal Care Products (-12.25pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 74,761.31 with a net gain of 397.35 points or 0.53%.

Total market volume was 580.26 million shares compared to 741.65m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs22.74 billion showing a decrease of Rs1.17bn.

There were 287,368 trades reported in 474 companies with 259 closing up, 161 closing down, and 54 remaining unchanged.
