November 06, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Hub Power Holdings Limited (HPHL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a nationwide electric vehicle (EV) charging network, marking a new chapter in sustainable energy for Pakistan.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Syed Taha, Managing Director & CEO of PSO; Mohsin Ali Mangi, Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer (CSTO) of PSO; Muhammad Kamran Kamal, CEO of HUBCO; and Aly Khan, CEO of MMC and Board Member of HUBCO.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing Pakistan’s green energy infrastructure.
It is important to note that HPHL, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Hub Power Company Limited (HUBCO)—a prominent player in Pakistan's energy sector—aims to shift the country toward an electric vehicle era, relieving consumers from the burden of fluctuating fuel prices.
In line with its Electric Vehicles (EV) domain, a new venture, Hubco Green (Private) Limited, is in the process of incorporation with the objective of installing EV charging infrastructure across the country, including motorways, highways, major cities, and destination charging avenues.
