July 12, 2024 (MLN): Federal Minister for Communications, Privatization & Board of Investment Abdul Aleem Khan has directed to review the construction project of the Sialkot to Rawalpindi Motorway and make it as of 6 lanes instead of 4 so that the needs of the next 50 years can be kept in view, according to a press statement released yesterday.

He has further directed that on all Motorways it should also be ensured that there are no barriers or obstructions for any vehicle for which mechanism should be followed while public should also be given awareness through print and electronic media.

He expressed these views while presiding over a high-level meeting of the National Highway Authority in which pace of work was reviewed on various projects of the National Highway Authority including Balochistan, Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Abdul Aleem Khan directed that NHA should install live cameras on all its construction projects so that this construction work can be monitored anywhere at any time.
