President urges to bring country's IT sector at par international standards

October 13, 2021: President Dr. Arif Alvi has urged the need to bring the country’s Information Technology sector at par with European and US standards besides ensuring data security.
Talking to a delegation of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad, he emphasized the need for one window operations for the IT sector in order to narrow down the gap between production and capacity.
He said business communities need to develop collaboration with academia in order to have a market-driven approach within existing infrastructures.
The President said the government has put the right policies in place regarding business expansion and the IT intellectuals need to capitalize on these policies.
