PMEX Commodity Index trades lower by 48 points

July 31, 2020: On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index lost 48 points to finish at 4,716-mark. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 9.317 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,759.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 5.284 billion, followed by Silver (PKR 1.259 billion), NSDQ 100 (PKR 929.459 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 548.563 million), Platinum (PKR 479.542 million), DJ (PKR 411.768 million), Crude Oil (PKR 270.834 million), Natural Gas (PKR 78.469 million), SP500 (PKR 38.259 million) and Copper (PKR 16.443 million).

In agriculture commodities, 3 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 1.567 million were traded.
