PMEX Commodity Index ends 111 points higher

May 01,2020: On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index jumped by 111 points to close at 3,667-level. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.966 billion and the number of lots traded was 19,293.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 4.596 billion, followed by Crude Oil (PKR 920.111 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 694.655 million), Copper (PKR 516.405 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 420.197 million), Silver (PKR 397.932 million), Platinum (PKR 166.243 million), SP500 (PKR 111.104 million), DJ (PKR 101.902 million) and Natural Gas (PKR 41.378 million).

In agriculture commodities, one lot of Soybean amounting to PKR 6.892 million and 3 lot of Cotton amounting to PKR 1.382 million were traded.
