PM directs for availability of essential items at minimum prices

November 3, 2019: Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the provincial governments to ensure availability of items of daily use at minimum prices to people in their respective provinces.

He gave these directions while chairing the Core Committee meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister also directed the provincial governments to take strict action against hoarders and profiteers through District Price Control Committees.

The meeting overviewed the flour stock situation in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The meeting also discussed other important issues, including the prevailing political situation of the country.

It deliberated upon the problems faced by people and their resolution. 

The meeting was informed that government's decision to defer the axle load implementation has been widely appreciated and the mill owners of Banaspati Ghee have assured to reduce prices of their products in the next few days in the light of this decision.
