PM approves new board for Privatisation Commission

July 23, 2023 (MLN): Right after the dissolution of the board of the Privatisation Commission on Friday by the federal government, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed a new board for the Privatisation Commission wherein eight names were approved appointment on the board.

The new board includes Jehanzeb Khan, Special Assistant to the PM, Shahbaz Jameel, the former president of the Zarai Taraqiati Bank, and Farrukh H Khan CEO of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

He has also appointed Pervaiz Khan to the board, who has served in the ICI firm and also has experience in the power sector.

Earlier, Zafar Iqbal, Engr Memon Abdul Jabbar, Zafar Iqbal Sobani, Arsallah Khan Hoti, Khurram Schehzad, Ashfaq Yousuf Tola, Yawar Irfan Khan, and Etrat Hussain Rizvi were included in the board.

These individuals served during the tenures of the incumbent government, the previous government, and the government of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN).
