Planning Minister urges export emergency measures in country

June 27, 2024 (MLN): Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has expressed the government's commitment to adopt an export-led growth model to pull the country out of the quagmire of crises.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, he stressed the need to boost the export volume from $30 billion to $100bn in the next five years, according to the Information Ministry.
He called upon the need to impose an export emergency in the country.
The Minister urged all the stakeholders including the government and private sector to make exports their top priority.
