Planning minister highlights ways to boost education sector

November 15, 2203 (MLN): Educational reforms hold high significance in light of the emerging challenges in this sector, caretaker minister for planning, development and special initiatives Muhammad Sami Saeed highlighted on Wednesday.
Accordingly, the ministry has taken several initiatives for improvement in the education sector with Bahria University Rector Vice Admiral (R) Asif Khaliq.
During the meeting with Asif Khaliq, they discussed various matters related to education, professional training, and skill enhancement, as APP reported.
The minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to provide full support in improving the education sector.
The rector highlighted the key initiatives and achievements of Bahria University.
To note, in the current fiscal year, the budget of the Higher Education Commission was increased from Rs40 billion to Rs70bn for the first time in the country’s history.
