PKR’s Real Effective Exchange Rate Index Falls 2.06 Percent in June

According to data published by the State Bank of Pakistan, the Real Effective exchange Rate Index of PKR fell by 2.06 percent to 111.19 in June 2018.

The Nominal Exchange Rate Index also fell by 2.44 percent to 79.71.

PKR lost 5.10 % of its value against the dollar in June, including 3.65% on June 11, 2018 in a market driven adjustment.

It was further devalued on July 16, 2018 by 5.31%. However it has appreciated in recent days and is currently trading at 123.85/123.95 in the interbank.
