PKR closes at 140.24 after losing 74.8 paisa against Dollar

March 22, 2019 (MLN): Pakistani Rupee (PKR) depreciated by 74.8 paisa against US Dollar at the interbank market today, as it closed at 140.24 as compared to previous closing of 139.49. The Open Market rate for USD was quoted at 140/141.50.

The highest intraday trade for PKR was last reported on November 30, 2018, when it was quoted at 144, but it closed at 139.06.

However, the local currency appreciated by 61.26 paisa against Euro, as the closing value of PKR in term of EUR stood at 158.45 against previous session’s closing of 159.06.

Similarly, PKR appreciated by 16.425 paisa against Pound Sterling, as it ended today’s session at 183.66 as opposed to previous closing of 183.82.

In terms of Japanese Yen, the value of PKR stood at 1.2686 as compared to previous closing of 1.2631, depicting a depreciation of 0.55 paisa.
