PIA inducts one A320 aircraft into its fleet post resolution of payment issue

January 11, 2024 (MLN): The Pakistan International Airlines Corp (PSX: PIAA) on Wednesday successfully inducted one of its two A320 aircraft into its fleet, which was previously entangled in a payment dispute in Malaysia, according to a press release issued on the day.

The ceremony of handing over of the aircraft was held at the Islamabad International Airport in which Advisor to PM on Aviation Air Marshal (Retd) Farhat Hussain Khan, the Secretary Captain (retd) Saif Anjum, CEO PIA Air Vice Marshal Amir Hayat, DG PCAA Khaqan Murtaza and other senior officers participated in the event.

While addressing the ceremony, the advisor said that this was a sigh of relief owing to the tireless efforts of the PIA team.

He highlighted that the induction would enhance the revenue of the national flag carrier.

He further added that the second aircraft would also be inducted into the PIA fleet in about next two weeks.
