May 22, 2024 (MLN): Addressing an energy symposium on Tuesday, Minister for Petroleum, Musadik Masood Malik affirmed that Pakistan is pushing for the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) gas pipeline project as it will provide less expensive gas.

Additionally, he said that the government has come up with multiple policies to enhance indigenous production of petroleum products including gas and crude oil.

Moreover, the government has put out blocks for bidding and is trying to attract global players in the exploration activities.

He further informed that Pakistan is open for business and is committed to completely digitizing the regulatory process in order to make it more transparent.
