Pakistan’s Yearly inflation at 8.22 Percent in May

June 01, 2020 (MLN): Pakistan's Yearly Inflation Rate (New Base 2015-16) in May 2020 was 8.22 percent compared to 8.53 percent in April 2020 and 8.40 percent in May 2019.

The July-May average inflation is 10.96 percent compared to 6.69 percent from the corresponding period last year.

Market Expectation of Inflation for May was between 8.70 % and 7.90% with the average estimate of 8.35%.

On a monthly basis, CPI increased by 0.32 percent in May compared to a decrease of 0.84 percent in April.

Market expectation of Monthly change was between 0.10% and 0.73% with the average estimate at 0.41%.
