Pakistan’s yearly inflation at 12.72% YoY in March

April 01, 2022 (MLN): Pakistan's Yearly Inflation Rate (New Base 2015-16) in March 2022 was 12.72 percent compared to 12.24 percent in February 2022 and 9.1 percent in March 2021.

This takes 9MFY22 average inflation at 10.77 percent compared to 8.34 percent from the corresponding period last year.

Market Expectations for March were between 12.25 percent and 13.18 percent with an average estimate of 12.58 percent.

On a month-on-month basis, it went up by 0.8 percent in March 2022 as compared to an increase of 1.2 percent in the previous month and an increase of 0.4 percent in March 2021.
