Pakistan’s weekly SPI slips by 0.31%

January 4, 2019 (MLN): The weekly Sensitive Price Index (SPI) for the combined group has dropped by 0.31% during the week ended January 4, 2019, as compared to the one before.

However, as compared to the corresponding week of last year the SPI has jacked up by 5.53%, as per data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

Reading deeper into the document, we see that out of the 53 essential items that are monitored, average prices of 21 items rose, 10 items decreased, whereas that of 22 items remained unchanged.
