Pakistan's mutual fund AUM reach an all-time high of Rs2.097tr as of December 2023

January 16, 2024 (MLN): The Assets Under Management (AUM) of Pakistan’s Mutual Funds Industry have reached an all-time high level of Rs2.097 trillion as of December 2023, reflecting a growth of 36.95% YoY compared to Rs1.531tr in December 2022, as per the data released by the Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan (MUFAP).

On a sequential basis, AUMs have increased by 6.69% as they stood at Rs1.965tr in November 2023.

During the first six months of the calendar year 2023, AUMs stood at Rs 1.654 trillion, and in the subsequent six months, they increased by Rs422.2 billion, marking a growth of 26.73%.

It is crucial to mention here that the Pakistan Stock Market posted its best yearly return since 2009, with its key benchmark KSE-100 index recording an eye-popping gain of 54.5% in 2023.

Moreover, in USD terms, the index recorded a gain of 24%.
