Pakistani startups raised a record $305mn during Jul-Sep 2021

October 4, 2021 (MLN): CY2021 has so far proved to be exceptional for Pakistani startups as they raised a record USD 305 million of investment globally during July-Sep 2021. The sectors include E-commerce, Fintech, Health and Freight.

The activity was mainly led by the E-commerce sector as the demand for e-commerce merchant services continues to skyrocket in Pakistan.

Through his official Twitter handle, Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood urged Pakistani startups to look into the agriculture sector which has a lot of potentials. He also congratulated Maqsad for securing Pakistan's largest ed-tech funding of USD 2.1 Million.

“Insha’Allah, 2021 will be the year of Pakistani startups. Let's touch $1 Billion by the end of December,” he hoped.
