Pakistani Rupee holds its Ground

September 02, 2020 (MLN): Pakistani Rupee (PKR) closed today's trading session relatively unchanged against the USD with the rate remaing stable at PKR 165.60

The rupee traded within a very narrow range of 22 paisa per USD showing an intraday high bid of 165.63 and an intraday Low offer of 165.50.

Within the Open Market, PKR was quoted at 165.30/166.50 per USD.

Meanwhile, the currency gained 1.4 rupees against the Pound Sterling as the day's closing quote stood at PKR 220.86 per GBP, while the previous session closed at PKR 222.24 per GBP.

Similarly, PKR's value strengthened by 1.8 rupees against EUR which closed at PKR 196.44 at the interbank today.

On another note, within the money market, the overnight repo rate towards close of the session was 7.10/7.25 percent, whereas the 1 week rate was 7.05/7.10 percent.
