Pakistan vows reform commitment in IMF meeting

April 22, 2025 (MLN): The government of Pakistan assured its full support to stay the course on reforms.

This was stated by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, during his meeting with the Managing Director of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, on the sidelines of the WB/IMF Spring Meetings 2025 in Washington, D.C.

The Minister thanked her and her team for the Staff-Level Agreement on the First Review under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and the new arrangement under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF).

He also reiterated the Prime Minister of Pakistan’s invitation for her to visit the country.
