Pakistan to receive 10 edible oil containers from Indonesia, Malaysia

June 14, 2022 (MLN): Pakistan will receive 10 containers of edible oil from Indonesia and Malaysia in the next two weeks, a tweet from the Prime Minister’s Office revealed today.

“A total of 2.5 million metric tons of edible oil will be supplied from Indonesia to Pakistan immediately,” it said.

On the directive of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the Pakistani delegation visited Indonesia and held talks with the Indonesian Ministry of Commerce.

At the request of the Pakistani delegation, the Indonesian Ministry of Commerce expedited all related matters.

The first ship full of 30,000 metric tons of edible oil will leave for Pakistan today.

The delegation visiting Indonesia also included Tariqullah Sufi, chairman of the Pakistan Vegetable Manufacturers Association and Rashid Jan Muhammad, a member of the association.
