Pakistan sees economic progress through effective measures

May 19, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan’s economy is on the right track due to the government’s effective measures, said Federal Minister for Information Technology, Shaza Fatima Khawaja.

Speaking at a news conference in Lahore, she noted that the policy rate and inflation levels have significantly declined, while remittances have seen an upward trend.

The Minister highlighted that IT sector exports have increased, and Pakistan is anticipating around $700 million in IT investment over the next few years, as per the press release.

She further shared that the country has surpassed the milestone of 200 million mobile subscribers, and the government aims to ensure internet access for every mobile user.
