Pakistan seeks financial advisers to launch global bonds

February 28, 2022 (MLN): The government of Pakistan is seeking the services of five financial advisors by March 30, 2022, for the issuance of multiple bonds, a notice issued by the Finance Division said yesterday.

To complete an annual update of its existing Global Medium-Term Note (GMTN) Programme, the ministry is planning to engage a consortium consisting of five financial institutions for the GMTN programme.

The bonds will be issued under a GMTN Programme that allows multiple transactions within a period of 12 months.

As per the notice, the ministry intends to carry out International Capital Market transactions, including Eurobonds, ESG bonds, green bonds, gender bonds, SDG bonds and sustainability-linked bonds, etc.
