Pakistan receives 26 lightning prediction tools from China

August 01, 2024 (MLN): China has provided 26 advanced lightning prediction tools to Pakistan enabling the Meteorological Department to accurately predict lightning strikes, Mahr Sahibzad Khan Pakistan Meteorological Department's Director General stated during an interview with a private news channel.

He said this cutting-edge technology has significantly enhanced Pakistan's weather forecasting capabilities, allowing for timely warnings and updates to be issued to the public.

The Director General also acknowledged the importance of this technology in saving lives and minimizing damage caused by lightning strikes, and appreciated the Chinese government's support in strengthening Pakistan's meteorological infrastructure.
