Pakistan railways opens luxury saloons to public

May 06, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan Railways has opened bookings of its five luxury saloon coaches to the general public.

These saloons, once reserved for the Prime Minister, federal ministers, Chairman of Pakistan Railways, Chief Executive Officer, and Inspector General of Railways, will now be available to any passenger interested in booking them.

A spokesperson for Pakistan Railways stated that the move is aimed at providing premium travel experiences to ordinary citizens while ensuring better utilization of the department’s existing resources.

To make these luxury saloons more accessible, Pakistan Railways has set fares at highly affordable rates, acording to the press release.

The initiative is part of the government's broader commitment to enhance public transport facilities while maintaining affordability for the masses.
