Pakistan partners with Commonwealth for free AI training for youth

August 07, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan has signed an agreement with the Commonwealth to provide free training for Pakistani youth in the top eight fields of Artificial Intelligence, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood, stated at a news conference in Islamabad today.

Rana Mashhood further said that technical training will be directly provided to two hundred thousand and indirectly to six to eight hundred thousand youth this year, as the Information Ministry reported.

"Prime Minister has given clear directions to the relevant departments in this regard.  He said there is great demand for skilled workforce abroad and we will exploit this potential for our youth," he added.

Moreover, the scope of clubs being established under the Green Youth Movement will be expanded to 268 universities this year.

He said these clubs subsequently will also be established at the college and school levels to equip the youth to better deal with natural calamities.
