December 05, 2023 (MLN): Pakistan is not on the International Monetary Fund (IMF)'s meeting agenda until December 14, as per the IMF’s executive board calendar released on Monday.

The calendar listed the upcoming meetings for December 04, 06, 07, 11, 12, 13, and 14, none of which involved Pakistan.

To note, the IMF staff and the Pakistani authorities reached a staff-level agreement on November 15, on the first review under Pakistan’s SBA, subject to approval by the IMF’s Executive Board. Upon approval, Pakistan will have access to SDR 528 million, which is around $700m.

This will bring the total disbursements under the program to almost $1.9 billion.
