Pakistan misses economic growth target fixed for the current fiscal year

According to National Accounts Committee documents, Pakistan missed the economic growth target fixed for the current fiscal year, registering a growth of 5.28 percent against target of 5.7 percent.

The agriculture sector recorded 3.46 percent in the current fiscal year as the cotton, sugarcane and maize registered sharp increase. The documents reveal that wheat growth of 0.5 percent, maize records an increase of 16.3 percent.
