Pakistan invites Japanese firms to invest in mineral sector

May 30, 2025 (MLN): To invest in Pakistan's mineral sector, Japanese companies have been invited by the Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan.

During a meeting in Tokyo with the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Minister reiterated Pakistan's commitment to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships anchored in sustainability, innovation, and economic integration. 

The Minister outlined Pakistan's vast reserves of rare earth elements, copper, gold, and other industrial minerals as a strategic domain for Japanese investment, as per the press release issued.

He emphasized that Pakistan is open to technology transfer, public-private partnership and investment frameworks.
