Pakistan courts global investors at KTrade's London Roundtable

May 07, 2025 (MLN): Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, alongside the Minister of State for Privatization and key economic advisors, met with international and domestic investors at an exclusive roundtable in London’s Carlos Place, hosted by KTrade Securities.

KTrade is hosting a series of events in London this week covering both foreign direct and foreign portfolio investment.

The gathering signals Islamabad’s push to attract foreign capital as it navigates economic headwinds and geopolitical complexities.

Private equity giants and strategic investors, including Germany’s NIU Invest (mining, real estate), Hamid Nasir from General Atomics, Dr. Yanwen Chan from Phinx Robotics, Joachim Von der Goltz from ek robotics, and Farid Haque from AQVC, engaged in discussions on expanding their footprint in Pakistan.

Also in attendance were heavyweights from Pakistan’s corporate landscape—PSX CEO Farrukh Sabzwari, representatives from Engro Holdings, Airlink, UBL Bank, Meezan Bank, and National Foods—many of whom will participate in the upcoming Pakistan Access Day, an investor forum hosted by Jefferies and KTrade Securities on May 8.

Global investors expressed keen interest in opportunities across mining, robotics, defense, and AI, sectors where Pakistan aims to deepen partnerships.

With ongoing economic reforms and privatization efforts, Islamabad is positioning itself as a compelling bet for long-term capital.
