Pakistan, China strengthen bilateral ties in meeting

February 06, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and China reaffirmed their strong bilateral ties as President Asif Ali Zardari met with Li Qiang, the Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, at the Great Hall of the People.

During the meeting, President Zardari emphasized the enduring and deep-rooted China-Pakistan "All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership," which has been nurtured by generations of leadership from both nations.

He reiterated Pakistan's commitment to further strengthening these ties, highlighting the time-tested and enduring partnership between the two countries, as stated in a press release issued today.

The President also underscored the pivotal role of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in enhancing regional connectivity and fostering economic growth, expressing gratitude for China's continuous support of Pakistan’s development initiatives.

The two sides discussed high-quality development under CPEC 2.0, focusing on deepening cooperation in renewable energy, science and technology, infrastructure, and agriculture to promote mutual progress and shared prosperity.

They also explored opportunities to expand trade and economic relations through business-to-business (B2B) and private sector partnerships.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening people-to-people and cultural exchanges to further build the China-Pakistan Community of Shared Future in the New Era.
