Pakistan CAD shrinks to $2.8bn in 4MFY23

November 21, 2022 (MLN): Pakistan’s Current Account Deficit decreased to $2.8 billion in the first four months of FY23 against $5.3bn in the same period last year, the latest data issued by the State Bank of Pakistan showed on Monday.

Month-on-Month, in October'22 CAD stood at 0.57bn as compared to $0.36bn in September 2022.

Moreover, imports were reduced by 11.6% to clock in at $2.7bn and exports increased by 2.6% to clock in at $0.2bn compared to Jul-Oct 2021.
