Pakistan, Belarus eye stronger partnership during PM's visit

April 10, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and Belarus are poised to strengthen bilateral relations as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrives in Minsk for a two-day official visit, during which he will hold talks with the Belarusian President and sign multiple cooperation agreements.

At Minsk International Airport, Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin, along with officials from the Pakistani Embassy in Belarus, welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The Prime Minister was honored with an age-old tradition and a gesture of Belarusian hospitality the korovai, a decorated loaf accompanied by salt, as per the press release issued today.

In a post on social media platform X, Shehbaz Sharif said he is looking forward to his official engagements, in particular with his friend President Alexander Lukashenko, as they seek jointly to advance mutually beneficial cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi are accompanying the Prime Minister.
