Pakistan, Azerbaijan deepen partnership in digital services

March 13, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and Azerbaijan continue to strengthen their bilateral ties, with growing collaboration in digital transformation and citizen-centric initiatives, Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized.

The aforementioned discussions were held during a meeting between the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, H.E. Khazar Farhadov, and Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, in Islamabad.

The high-level meeting followed Prime Minister Pakistan’s recent visit to Azerbaijan and focused on advancing technology-driven public services.

A key topic of discussion was Asaan Khidmat Centres, designed to simplify government services and improve accessibility for the public.

The Prime Minister’s vision is centered on making public services more efficient and accessible, said Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja.

We are actively working towards a ‘One-Stop Shop’ model that streamlines service delivery and supports ease of doing business, she noted.

The Minister also highlighted Pakistan’s Smart Islamabad Project and Citizen Services Portal, which align with Asaan Khidmat Centres in leveraging technology to enhance public service accessibility, as per the press release issued today.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to furthering collaboration in digital initiatives and public service modernization, paving the way for more efficient, transparent, and technology-driven governance.
