Overseas Pakistani remit USD 18,781.62 Million during July-April FY20

May 11, 2020 (MLN): Overseas Pakistanis remitted USD 1.79 billion in the month of April 2020 compared to USD 1.89 billion in March 2020 showing a decrease of USD 104.35 million over the previous month.
However, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan the remittances increased by USD 19.87 million when compared to April 2019.
The total amount remitted during July-April FY20 was USD 18.7816 billion compared to USD 17.8010 billion from the corresponding period of FY19 which showed an increase of USD 980.61 million or 5.51 percent.
Saudi Arabia was the largest source of remittances having contributed USD 451.37 million followed by USA with USD 401.91 million and UAE providing USD 353.79 million.
