January 6, 2020 (MLN): The KSE-100 index has lost nearly 679 points in the intraday session, and is trading at 41,644-level as of now.

The investors’ sentiments took a hit after the US assassination of a top Iranian general last week fanned fears of a major conflict in the Middle East.

So far, Commercial Banks and Fertilizer sector have endured the maximum losses as they have collectively taken away 226 points from the index.
