OGRA hikes RLNG prices by up to 6.49% for May

May 27, 2024 (MLN): Regassified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices for May 2024 have been raised by up to 6.16% for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and 6.49% for Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) respectively, as per the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA)'s notification.

As per the latest update, the new prices for SNGPL for transmission and distribution are $12.721/MMBtu and $13.744/MMBtu, respectively for May.

In comparison with the prices of April 2024, the overall increase in terms of amount for SNGPL transmission is $0.7348/MMBtu, while for distribution it stands at $0.7978/MMBtu.

Furthermore, the updated prices for SSGC are $12.067/MMBtu for distribution and $14.051/MMBtu for transmission purpose.

Compared to the prices in April 2024, there has been an overall increase of approximately $0.734/MMBtu for SSGC transmission and $0.856/MMBtu for distribution.

The decision to hike prices is following the policy guidelines of the federal government.
