NTC imposes provisional anti-dumping duties on dumped Imports of Tinplate

January 30, 2019 (MLN): The National Tariff Commission (NTC) has imposed provisional Anti-dumping duties on Tinplate imported into Pakistan from China, European Union (EU), South Africa and United States of America (USA).

These Anti-dumping duties were imposed after reviewing of an application regarding the material injury caused by such dumped import to the domestic Tinplate manufacturing industry lodged by the only Tinplate manufacturer in Pakistan M\\s Siddiqsons Tinplate Limited.

As the injury margins were lower than the dumping margins, the commission therefore has imposed an anti-dumping duties for a period of 4 months effective from January 30, 2019.

Moreover, following provisional anti-dumping duty rates were determined:

China (6.87%), European Union (10.88%), South Africa (14.75%) and USA (12.27%)
