NEPRA to withdraw upfront tariff on existing sugar mills

November 12, 2018 (MLN): National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has announced withdrawal of Upfront Tariff for existing sugar mills, keeping in view the changed dynamics of the electric power market.
NEPRA vide tariff determination dated December 30th, 2016 determined the Upfront Tariff for existing sugar mills operating under Captive Mode at Rs. 7.82 per kWh, which included fixed costs of Rs. 1.53/kWh and Fuel costs of Rs. 6.29/kWh.
