NEPRA approves Rs3.99 per unit positive FCA for April

June 13, 2022: National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Monday approved Rs3.99 per unit positive fuel cost adjustment (FCA) for April for XWAPDA power distribution companies.

The FCA shall be charged in the billing month of June 2022 to all consumer categories of XWDISCOs, except lifeline consumers, said a notification.

This FCA would remain applicable only for one month. However, it would not be applicable to KE consumers.

The Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA-G) had requested a positive FCA of Rs.4.5/kWh. However, the Authority has approved a positive FCA of Rs.3.99/kWh.
