National Saving Scheme rates slashed by upto 90 bps

June 2, 2020 (MLN): The rate on National Saving Schemes (NSS) has been cut in the range of 48 to 90 basis points, with effect from June 2, 2020.
The rate of profit on special savings has been cut by 90 bps to 7.10%, whereas the rate on regular income has been slashed by 84 bps to 7.44%.
Likewise, the rate of profit on defense has been cut by 49 bps to 8.05% and on savings account cut by 50 bps to 6.50%.
Similarly, the rate of profit on PBA and behbood certificates has been cut by 48 bps to 9.84%.
