Muzzammil Aslam elevated to provincial minister status in KP

November 08, 2024 (MLN): Muzzammil Aslam, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance, has been granted the status of Provincial Minister with immediate effect by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

On March 6, 2024, Muzzammil Aslam was nominated as the Advisor on Finance to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Previously, in October 2021, Senior Economist Muzzammil Aslam was appointed spokesperson for the Minister of Finance.

Later, in April 2022, he was appointed as the spokesperson on Finance & Economy for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

On January 3, 2022, he was also appointed as spokesperson on energy issues.

To note, he has over 15 years of experience in the fields of Economics, Equity Research, Business Development, and Financial / Capital markets. Further, his work on economics has been actively pursued by key government institutions.

By qualification, Mr Aslam holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Public Administration Degrees from the University of Karachi, an MAS Degree in Economics from the Applied Economics Research Centre, University of Karachi, and a Master of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Bath, United Kingdom.
