September 05, 2024 (MLN): The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has rejected as false a notification, circulating on social media that declares September 6 as a public holiday in connection with Pakistan’s Defense Day.

According to the Ministry’s Fact Checker, disseminating fake news is unethical and illegal and a disservice to the nation.

The fact checker further said that it is the responsibility of everyone to reject such irresponsible behavior.
