January 8, 2019 (MLN): Finance Minister Asad Umar chaired Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting on Tuesday, January 08, 2019.

On proposal of Textile Division regarding withdrawal of custom duty and sales tax on cotton import, the committee asked for details and data on revenue impact and trade.

Moreover, Ministry of Industries shared the progress on study regarding operationalization of Pak Steel with the committee. The members of the committee expressed desire for an early completion and submission of the study.
