Military’s tax contribution stood at Rs100bn in 2022-23: DG ISPR

May 07, 2024 (MLN): Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Maj-Gen Ahmed Sharif on Tuesday said that the military deposited Rs100 billion in taxes in 2022-23.

Referring further to the tax payments made by other major groups, he mentioned that Institutions working under the military paid taxes of R260bn.

Additionally, the Fauji Foundation made tax deposits worth Rs223bn in the respective year.

Moreover, he disclosed that the government generated tax revenue amounting to Rs25bn from the Defence Housing Authority.
