Meeting reviews progress made by major sectors of economy

March 17, 2020: A meeting to review progress being made by major sectors of the economy was held in Islamabad on Monday with Prime Minister's Advisor on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in the chair.

Ministers for Energy and Economic Affairs Division, Chairperson FBR and Secretaries of Finance Division, Ministry of National Food Security and Research and Ministry of Commerce attended the meeting.

Participants of the meeting shared details of the ongoing major initiatives of their respective Ministries and Divisions, their current status of progress, the impact of the ongoing coronavirus epidemic on the economy and strategy to achieve targets.

They agreed that all sectors related to the economy will work in unison to achieve economic targets with maximum effort and that the government will ensure that the common man is not affected by any adverse fallout of the epidemic.
