LSMI output decreases by 24.8% during May

July 21, 2020 (MLN): The LSMI output decreased by 24.8% during the month of May, 2020, as compared to May, 2019 and increased by 20.50% when compared to April 2020.

Month-wise trend of QIM from May 2018 to May 2020 is given in the following graph:

The overall output of LSMI decreased by 10.32% for July-May, 2019-20 compared to July-May, 2018-19.

The production in Jul-May 2019-20 as compared to Jul-May 2018-19 has increased in Fertilizers and Paper & Board while it has significantly decreased in respect of Textile, Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Coke & Petroleum Products, Pharmaceuticals, Automobiles, Iron & Steel Products and Electronics.
