March 25, 2025 (MLN): LSE Capital Limited (PSX: LSECL) has received formal registration for "LSE SPAC-1," the country's first special-purpose vehicle, which will raise funds through private placement or an IPO and invest in a pre-selected company.

The next step shall involve the merger of both SPAC and the investee company, with the subsequent emergence of the investee company as the Listed enterprise.

This registration has been granted following the requisite approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the company filing on PSX revealed today.

LSECL is licensed as a Modaraba Management company, besides carrying the license to act as a consultant to the issue for the IPOs and corporate finance advisory services.

It managed the erstwhile Modaraba Al-Mali, which was merged in LSE Capital during May 2024.

It is now planning to launch a new Modaraba fund under the name of Modaraba Al-Tameer, which will invest in real estate projects and emerging technology companies.
