Local rebar prices increase by Rs7,000/ton

March 28, 2022 (MLN): The prices of local rebar have been surged by Rs7,000 per ton, taking the new local rebar prices to Rs216,000 per ton and Rs214,000 per ton for deform and Xtreme rebars, respectively, as tweeted by Ismail Iqbal Securities on Monday.

This new price is effective from March 28, 2022.

This sharp spike in rebar prices is mainly owing to the supply chain disruptions on the rebound in economic activity after Covid-19, and geopolitical tension between Russia-Ukraine that have messed up with the price stability in the commodity market.
